Job Description
| Beyer Law Group LLP, a Cupertino California based law firm, seeks patent attorney/patent agent candidates who have 3+ years of experience in the following areas: USPTO procedures, patent prosecution, patent drafting/preparation, client patent counseling and patent analysis. Membership to the Patent Bar is required. Candidate must possess strong writing skills and excellent academic credentials and a desire to excel in a law firm environment. Patent Prosecution Secretary: an opening in our Cupertino office for an experienced patent prosecution secretary.
The ideal candidate will preferably have at least 5 years of patent prosecution experience, with skills including the following:
* Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Word
* Experienced at electronic filing through EFS-Web
* A solid understanding of U.S. Patent Office rules and procedures
* Experience maintaining IDS matrices is a plus
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
* Docketing and/or foreign filing experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities include preparation of all PTO documents for filing, reporting to clients, generating and maintaining status reports, and various other duties as assigned.
