Francis T. Kalinski II
Francis T. Kalinski II is a patent and trademark counsel with the Beyer Law Group based in the Silicon Valley. He also spends considerable time at the firm’s offices in Monterey, California. He has experience in a broad range of intellectual property matters, including drafting and prosecuting U.S., PCT, and foreign patent applications; managing complex patent prosecution dockets, strategic patent portfolio analysis and counseling; rendering opinions on the scope, validity, and infringement of patents; and litigation support. He has experience in managing large U.S. and international patent and trademark portfolios in the consumer products, electronics, semiconductor processing, high technology, scientific, software, and alternative energy fields. Additionally, Francis assists clients with all stages of patent strategy, patent preparation, and coordinates foreign patent activities. He has particular experience in prosecuting patents in the electrical engineering arts including nanotechnologies, systems processing, circuit design, materials science and semiconductor processing. He also has wide experience in image processing, optics and optical systems, network technologies, telecommunications.He has experience in alternative energy technologies, aeronautics, agricultural machine and processing technologies, additionally having experience in a wide diversity of software applications as well as “cross-over” and interdisciplinary fields such as chemical and biological informatics as well as a number of other fields. He also assists clients with issues concerning copyright and trademark law. He is registered to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) and is a member of the California State Bar admitted to practice in the State of California, before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
